As the interim director of LSPS, I want to thank you for your interest in our program. Currently, we have started classes and are focusing our energies on the graduation of five seniors next May. We also have six students enrolled in our TEEM program that meet four times a year in preparation for the ordained ministry. Through this program we will continue to live into our mission to prepare men and women for ministry in rural and urban and cross-cultural settings.
We are currently inviting partners to join us in our mission support through our "Seeds to Trees, Leaven to Loaves" stewardship commitment. We invite you to imagine with us the potential in growth and contribution to theological education through monthly giving. This kind of commitment by our partners will ensure the fulfillment of a long-range vision for theological education in Texas. We are also in the process of learning how to communicate better with our partners through monthly e-letters. Your help in providing us with your e-mail address will eliminate the need for costly paper newsletters and will greatly reduce the cost of our mailings. Please contact our administrative assistant, Consuelo Espejel de Reid, at lsps@lsps.edu to help ensure that we have your e-mail address in our database and to ask for a brochure for your mission support contribution.
As the interim director of LSPS, I want to thank you for your faith and confidence in our program. It is our prayer that our vision for theological education in Texas will continue to be made a reality that serves the whole church.
In Christ's mission for the sake of the world,
Dr. Javier (Jay) Alanís, Interim Director
