Step 1: Complete all requirements of your synod’s candidacy committee for “Entrance” into the candidacy process and for designation as a TEEM candidate. (See the ELCA Candidacy Manual which is available on the website of the ELCA).

Step 2: Complete and return the application form to the LSPS TEEM program. Please complete the form in its entirety, including autobiographical material and references. You may request the application form by contacting us at the address or phone number given above, or you may download the application form from this website.

Step 3: Once admitted, you will meet with a Theological Review Panel (see the ELCA Candidacy Manual) that determines your TEEM course of study. Your meeting with the Theological Review Panel must be completed before the January Term of your first year in the TEEM program.

Step 4: All TEEM students are required to be assigned and placed by their synod to a ministry site before beginning their theological studies. This ministry site will serve as the student’s context for ministry for the duration of his/her theological studies. It is generally the case that the ministry site will serve as the student’s emerging call into ministry upon completion of the TEEM curriculum and candidacy requirements.
